Making Man Dog's Best Friend
GDU combines dog behavior with Motivational Reward training. This method rewards desirable behavior, rather than using choke, pinch, or shock collars. These tools especially if used incorrectly, cause confusion in the learning process. By creating consequences versus punishment dogs are more engaged, making learning more accessible. Bev uses her 40 plus years of studying dog behavior with motivational reward training to create an environment of cooperation and learning for both humans and pooches. Keep your tails wagging!!

Maybe you would like to have a pooch that doesn't jump all over you and/or your guests? Is your 4 footer impulsive? Most everyone would like a dog that comes when called. If you have any of these desires, you have found the right place.
MY SERVICES
What Good Dog offers you and your pets:
Turning out excellent canine citizens after a stay with Bev in her home. They learn about rules within a home, traveling to different places to train, exposure to real life sites and sounds with an emphasis on appropriate greeting in a social setting. Each dog is evaluated. A comprehensive plan will be created according to their needs.
Not all four footers are good candidates for the social setting of an obedience class. Maybe your dog is exhibiting behaviors such as fear-based responses toward people, storms or noises. If you are concerned about aggression toward people or dogs, it is time for a consult. Does your dog have anxiety? Obsessive barking and destructive chewing are signs of anxiety. This is where private consultations are helpful. Bev will come to your home. Please call her. She likes speaking with YOU. You are the key to getting help for your fur-baby. There is no charge for the phone call, so… you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Classes are held one evening per week for 6 weeks covering impulse control exercises, walking, sit/down, come, and greeting appropriately. The most important is socializing. Bev loves to include the family. Why? Because, the dog lives with the family and it is all about relationship! Bev’s classes are fun, educational, and entertaining. Depending on class participants, we have a designated playtime. Bet class puts a smile on your face!
My Behavior Consulting work involves an intimate understanding of your animal’s natural and individual history. Your pet has plenty of potential to learn and understand commands, and my techniques will lay the foundation for you to build upon. I combine your needs and wants with the natural attributes of your pet.
